Tim is a well-rounded and respected Counselor in the region and has worked at every level of treatment including prevention, residential treatment and outpatient treatment. Tim has been with Harbor Hall Treatment Center since 2003 and was awarded "Counselor of the Year" in 2006. He takes an empathic approach to counseling and believes in “meeting the clients where they are,” and helping the client move through the stages of change. It is not uncommon for his former clients to contact Tim to inform him of how well they are doing. His caring, supportive approach has proven effective for many of his clients, who have gone on to be productive, sober members of society.

Tim is an active member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and received his training in Barcelona Spain. He maintains a private practice in the community and is an Associate Trainer for the Center for Strength-Based Strategies. Tim has been the Lead Counselor at Harbor Hall Outpatient in Petoskey since 2007.
