Terry Newton has been counseling in the addiction field since 1978 beginning with the Veteran’s Services program at “Prodigal House” in Minneapolis, MN for Viet Nam Vets. In Terry’s vast career, he has guided clients at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Hazelden Fellowship Club in St. Paul, MN, Adolescent Half-Way Houses “Shanti House” and “Way-12” in Minneapolis, MN, and Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA. For the last 20 years, Terry Newton has successfully served Harbor Hall as its Executive Director.

In his free time Terry enjoys an active role in Petoskey’s Rotary Club, indulges his green thumb as a serious gardener (with a previous degree in Landscape Design), and engages in Northern Michigan’s year-round outdoor recreation as a cross-country bicyclist, kayaker, walker, skier and snowshoe fanatic. He has been married to his lovely bride Elizabeth since 1986 and has fun spoiling many nieces and nephews.
