Casper Wurtsmith, Counselor

The most recent addition to our counseling staff, Casper joined the team at our new outpatient facility, the Desimple Center, in February of 2009. While enrolled at Spring Arbor University he successfully completed a split internship between our Petoskey locations — the Harbor Hall residential facility and the Desimple Center outpatient facility. Shortly after his internship Casper graduate with a Masters in the Art of Counseling degree. Casper was invited to return to our organization not only for his academic and clinical qualifications, but also for his natural therapeutic talents that cannot be learned in any university or agency setting. He utilizes a psycho-educational approach guided by compassion, empathy and flexibility to meet the needs of those under his care. We are pleased with the steady progression he has demonstrated and recognize his potential as an asset to this treatment center.
