Harbor Hall, Inc., initially named Half Way Home, Inc., is the brainchild of a dynamic group of Petoskey, MI locals who had the vision to develop a sober living environment for adult men needing a safe place to reside after completing a residential substance abuse treatment program. When Half -Way Home, Inc. opened its doors in the Spring of 1974, the program operated on the generous benevolence of its community and relied heavily upon donated items and volunteer labor to outfit, maintain and support its mission. Over the years

Half -Way Home, Inc. evolved from a halfway house into Harbor Hall, Inc., a long-term residential treatment program that continues to hold a unique place in the recovery industry. Even in today’s world of increased managed care and pressures of shorter length stays, Harbor Hall has maintained its quality, affordability, integrity and framework of continued care.
